Preheat oven to 375º fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
Sift all dry ingredients - flour, white sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, nutmeg, and salt together in a bowl.
Add all wet ingredients and stir until batter forms. Pour finished batter into greased baking pan.
Bake approximately 20 minutes, until a toothpick in the center comes out clean.
Remove from oven, allow to cool completely, and then slice into squares.
